literally everyone “passed” through Athens They have “passed” and left their mark,  civilizations that have either “integrated” into the identity of the modern Greek or not.

In any case, Athens is not only the city of classical times, even though its appearance refers directly to Ancient Greece.

And it’s nice to be time travelers, in a city like Athens.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

We are going to see one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of Athens and take a trip back in time.
Our walk will start outside the ancient market (agora) of the Athenians. From there we will go to the Observatory and the hill of Pnyx, the place where the parliament of the ancient Athenians met. There we will see the Orator step, where the most important Athenians spoke. There is the hill of the nymphs, the temple of Zeus and probably the most beautiful view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon.
We will continue our walk in the ancient neighborhoods of Athens and we will stop at its most energy field. There on the hill of Philopappou, we will pass by the prison of Socrates and we will reach the Propylaea of the Acropolis and the “Arios Pagos” hill, the highest court of antiquity and the place from where St. Paul spoke to the pagan Athenians about Christ.
We will walk in the narrow alleys of Plaka and we will go up to Anafiotika, its most picturesque area, which is located just below the rock of the Acropolis. The view of Athens from there is unique!
Going down we will walk Tripodon Street, the oldest street in the world, which has been walked continuously since 4000 BC, at least until today. It will lead us to the most important monuments and the most beautiful corners of the city.
